E-Learning: New Zealand First Aid
Unit Standards: 6402 (v9), 6401 (v7), & 6400 (v8)
Time Commitment: ~4 hours online + 8 hours in-class
Recommended for those in high-risk, remote, or outdoor environments.
Covers:

  • 6402: Cardiac arrest, unconsciousness, choking, severe bleeding

  • 6401: Common illnesses and injuries

  • 6400: Complex injuries and medical conditions, and managing multiple injuries

Course Requirements

These courses, including all written, verbal, and practical assessments, are conducted in English. CPR assessments involve kneeling beside a manikin.
