Foundation First Aid with e-learning.
Unit Standards: 6402 (v9) and 6401 (v7)
Time Commitment: ~4 hours prior online learning + 4.5 hours in-class practical
This course is ideal for those seeking basic first aid skills for the home, low-risk workplaces, or general preparedness.
Topics Covered:
Provide Basic Life Support (US 6402) – Cardiac arrest, unconsciousness, choking, severe bleeding.
Provide First Aid (US 6401) – Recognising and managing common illnesses and injuries.
To have your credits recorded on your NZQA record, we’ll need your NSN (National Student Number).
You can find your NSN by calling NZQA on 0800 697 296 or by using the NZQA ChatBot on the NZQA website. You will need to bring your NSN to class to enter it into the digital roll.
Course Requirements
This course, including all written, verbal, and practical assessments, is conducted in English. CPR assessments involve kneeling beside a manikin.
