Unit Standards 6401 & 6402
This course is ideal for those seeking a basic first aid qualification for home or low-risk workplaces. Topics covered include:

• Provide Basic Life Support (US 6402): Managing life-threatening situations, including cardiac arrest, unconsciousness, choking, severe bleeding, and shock.
• Provide First Aid (US 6401): Recognising and managing common illnesses/injuries: including asthma, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes and seizures, plus burns, breaks, soft tissue injuries, and poisoning.

*Students must be physically able to kneel on the floor beside a manikin to complete the CPR component of this course.

Revalidation (renewing your current certificate) - 6 hours

This course is for those with a current first aid certificate that will expire soon. We catch you up with any changes in first aid, remind you of the knowledge and skills you already have, and check your technique in scenario-based first aid experiences. You can renew your current certificate with City First Aid, regardless of the previous provider. Please provide evidence of your current first aid certificate prior to the course by uploading it when you book, emailing it to info@cityfirstaid.co.nz or bringing it to class.less
