Blended Learning Information
Blended learning combines online e-learning with an in-person practical session. The online e-learning portion must be completed at least four days before attending the practical session.
e-Foundation First Aid Revalidation (e-FFA-R)
Updates your current Foundation First Aid, First Aid At Work, Level 1 First Aid Certificate or Unit Standards 6402 and 6401.
e-NZ First Aid Certificate Revalidation (e-NZFA-R)
Updates your current NZ First Aid, Workplace, Comprehensive, Level 2 First Aid Certificate or Unit Standards 6402, 6401 and 6400.
Time Commitment: ~ 4 hours online + 3.5 hours in-person practical
NB: You must have a current first aid certificate to book a revalidation course (or one that expired no more than 3 months ago). If you completed your last certificate with another provider, please upload a copy or screenshot when booking your course, or email info@cityfirstaid.co.nz or bring a copy to class.

Unit Standards: 6402 (v9) and 6401 (v7)
Time Commitment: ~4 hours online + 4.5 hours in-person practical
This course is ideal for those seeking basic first aid skills for the home, low-risk workplaces, or general preparedness.
Topics Covered:
Provide Basic Life Support (US 6402): Cardiac arrest, unconsciousness, choking, severe bleeding.
Provide First Aid (US 6401): Recognising and managing common illnesses and injuries.
e-NZ First Aid Certificate.
Unit Standards: 6402 (v9), 6401 (v7) and 6400 (v8)
Time Commitment: ~4 hours online + 8 hours in-person practical
Recommended for those who work outdoors, in remote or high-risk areas, or enjoy adventurous activities.
Topics Covered:
- Provide Basic Life Support (US 6402): Cardiac arrest, unconsciousness, choking, and severe bleeding.
- Provide First Aid (US 6401): Recognising and managing common illnesses and injuries.
- Managing First Aid in Emergency Situations (US 6400): Managing complex injuries and medical conditions
Course Requirements
This course, including all written, verbal, and practical assessments, is conducted in English. CPR assessments involve kneeling beside a manikin.
